Streaming directly from your iPhone or iPad camera to Apple TV, Air Camera + now offers an array of stunning effects and various streaming and playback modes.
The latest version has been rebuilt from the ground up, introducing real-time effects for both playback and recording. Alongside the popular bloom effect, 3D effects have advanced significantly with options including the nostalgic Cyan/Purple effect and a side-by-side version suitable for cardboard VR.
Rotation is fully supported – Air Camera + accommodates both landscape and portrait modes. The app allows users to select the quality of the stream, offering HD, VGA, and normal options for both streaming and recording.
Key features of Air Camera + include:
- Stream and record camera images in real-time on AppleTV
- Add real-time effects to streams and recordings (Bloom, Sepia, Grey, Cartoon, 3D)
- Convert streams and recordings to 3D
- Select between front and back camera on your device
- Stream sound in real-time to AppleTV
It's important to note that Air Camera facilitates live streaming with effects applied on-the-go, rather than requiring pre-edited content. Additionally, effects used while streaming will be retained in recordings.
NOTE: Air Camera performs optimally when both AppleTV and iOS are updated to the latest versions.
When live streaming sound from a microphone, consider the following tips for an enhanced experience:
- Reduce Gain/Volume to avoid feedback
- Experiment with different positions of the iOS device for added gain before feedback
- Utilize an external microphone for improved audio quality
